Everyone can dance

At the ArtDansa dance school we have detected a lack in the field of dance teaching towards people with functional diversity.

The proposal of the dansa per a tothom project is to establish an additional space in our dance school. This new space will be designed with the aim of providing opportunities to part of society that until now have been excluded, allowing them to participate in leisure activities such as dance.

Adapted dance

At Artdansa we offer dance classes designed for people with reduced mobility. Inspired by the Dance for Parkinson's method, which emerged in New York more than ten years ago. We have created a unique dance space where we will move gradually, starting with seated warm-up exercises and then moving towards choreography. Throughout the class, we will adapt the movements so that everyone can participate in creating choreography.

Tuesdays 11am-12am

  • Who can participate?

This class is designed for anyone who has mobility difficulties of any degree. Either people who have lost mobility due to an accident and people who may have mobility problems due to an illness can participate.

  • Is there a maximum age?

No, there is no maximum age. These classes are adapted thinking about the abilities that the participants may have. The only thing you need to participate is a desire to dance and imagination.

  • What do I need to participate?

To participate, only street clothes will be needed; If possible, socks, a bottle of water, and if necessary, walking support.

  • Can I come accompanied?

The adapted classes are designed so that helpers, interested parties or family members can participate voluntarily, therefore, we will be delighted if you come accompanied.

Inclusive dance

ArtDansa has innovated its reception and designed a new studio to incorporate people with hearing problems into regular classes without the need to make significant changes. This renovated room will allow us to welcome boys and girls from 2 years old to adults, providing them with the greatest comforts so that they can enjoy the music and follow the teacher's instructions thanks to the magnetic loop.

Dance in the class

Dance in the classroom is based on the principles of kinesthetic learning, which focuses on learning through movement. Therefore, we adapt the curriculum of various subjects to convert them into movements, thus providing meaningful learning to students. This learning approach is especially effective for children with dyslexia, ADHD, and diverse learning abilities.
