You have doubts?

Here we answer the most common questions
  • Can I start ballet as an adult?

The answer is definitely YES. From ArtDansa we have created a program in which the age at which you want to start does not matter, nor the previous physical form. We have created a 12-week course in which ballet mechanics, the technical names of the steps and the correct use of muscles are taught from scratch. This course is Adult 0 and can be started in October and February.

  • Can I come for 1 day even if the course is 2 days or more?

All the courses are designed according to the hours of dedication that are needed to reach the established objectives and ensure continuous development of the class. There are different options that offer classes 1 day or 2 days a week, so we recommend choosing the discipline that best suits the family options since it is not possible to come one day a week if the course is 2.

  • At what age can the tips start?

Ballet pointe is a necessary technical element to advance but at the same time they are extremely demanding. The minimum age to climb to pointe is 9 years and as long as the teacher deems it appropriate, the teacher will take into account:

  • How are the tip classes?

Pointe classes are an element apart from technique, and as such, they have a specific class for pointe work. In this class, a physical preparation work and a pointe work will be combined. Always start with simple exercises on the bar and developing the technique so that as we progress they become a more integrated part of the day to day of the classes.

  • At what age can my son/daughter start dancing?

At ArtDansa we are committed to an early introduction to dance, in such a way that musicality, expression and coordination can be worked on from a young age. Starting at 2 years old with Creative Dance and continuing course by course until 5 years old with Pre-ballet, each course with objectives consistent with their age and physical and emotional development.

  • What is the recommended age to start ballet?

If we talk about classical ballet, the earliest age to start is at 6-7 years. Classical ballet has a very demanding technique that requires concentration and muscular capacity, since before the age of 6 the muscles do not have the necessary isometric or concentric contraction capacity, it is not recommended to start ballet before the age of 6.
